How I Got 300 Followers in My First 6 Months Blogging

Hello everyone! Today, I’d just like to start off by thanking my 301 beautiful subscribers! You guys are AMAZING! I wish I could thank every single one of you individually, but unfortunately none of us have that kind of time. (Haha but don’t we all wish we did???) So just imagine I’m giving a great big hug and saying “THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU” over and over again, because let’s be honest, that’s what I’m doing right now!

So my guess is that some of you are wondering how I did it. How did I get over 300 followers in my first 6 months blogging?

Here’s How:

I’m going to be straight out honest with you guys right now; this was not my first blog. In fact it was my third (If you’re counting the fact that I changed my blog name and mission a couple months ago)
In my first few months, I had less than 10 followers. (YIKES!!!) and I wasn’t going anywhere fast (YIKES AGAIN!!!!) Want to know why?  Because no one knew where to find me. I had to get my name out there….FAST. Some of the things that I did include:

Following other Like Minded Bloggers

Just going to be completely honest with you, following like-minded bloggers was one of the best choices of my life. Because they 1) Will probably follow you back and/or 2) Will give you some AWESOME post ideas. And you might be thinking “Noel, why are you copying other people”
Hey I never said anything about copying, I just said they can give you good ideas, that they can keep you inspired.

Doing Collaborative Posts with Like Minded Bloggers

Similar to following other bloggers, this one gets your name out there in the bloggers community. People read your collaborative/guest post on your blogger-friend’s blog and then click the link and discover yours! (Purely genius)

Using Social Media as a Tool

If you can get likes, clicks, and followers from it, you can use it. Pinterest? Yes. Instagram. Yes. Facebook? Definitely. Twitter? Of course!
I know that this seems simple, but it really is! And trust me, if you’re producing good content, people will start to notice and follow you anyways, they just have to find you first!
