24 Hours at Niagara Falls: The Complete List of What to Do, and What to Skip

Hello everybody! Yes, it’s me! Noel White! Back from the dead…I mean vacation. (Same thing, right?) As much as I love traveling, I love home even more, and the sweet scent of my house after a long vacation! But I also LOVE vacation! This year my family went on a two week road trip from Kansas up through Washington D.C., Connecticut, Rhodes Island, and a short pitstop in Niagara Falls Canada!

Now, when I’m talking short pitstop, I’m talking 24 hours, no more no less. So I am the EXPERT, and I’ve pulled together a complete of what to do, and what you should skip, in order to get the most out of your trip!

The Musts:

The Upclose Niagara Cruises

This was SOOOO much fun! They take you through the mist, right to the bottom of the falls which is SO AMAZING!

Disclaimer: you will get drenched, and you will love every second of it!

The Falls at Night

This was also super cool and beautiful. Don’t think the fun ends when the sun goes to bed! They usually have a band playing, they light up the falls so they change colors and are beautiful against the dark blue night sky, and in the summer from Friday-Sunday they have FIREWORKS! Niagara is NOT playing around!

The Falls by Day

Okay, so as cool as the falls are at night, you still need to just walk and see them by day! Even if you don’t have time for ANYTHING else, this is something you NEED to do! Trust me!

Where to Eat:

The Skylon Tower Overlooking Niagara Falls

Okay, so I’m not going to lie, this was SUPER expensive. I’m talking $40 U.S. per person. But the view was worth the money, and the food wasn’t bad. We just did the Family Buffet option, but if you’re celebrating a special event, the rotating restaurant is definitely an option. Imagine eating your dinner with this view right out the window:

Crazy right? Here’s a little bit of what the food looked like!

IHop Downtown

24 hour breakfast that will give you a small taste of home! Be sure to eat your waffles with Maple Syrup and a side of Canadian Bacon! Haha…is there such thing as Canadian food? Comment your thoughts below!

Where to Stay:

Suggested Post: 12 Days in Budapest

Wherever you want! We stayed at Holiday Inn.

There are definitely some better options with views of the water, but I don’t think that’s necessary! You can’t enjoy the view while your sleeping, and you probably won’t be spending a lot of time in your hotel room anyways!

Wow… I am so tired after realizing how much I did just in those 24 hours! (Honestly I had no idea I was that crazy!) Have you ever been to Niagara Falls? Do you want to go? Let me know in the comments below!

  3. Yes! I want to go to Niagara Falls! Thanks for all the great tips! I didn’t know they had those cruises through the mist! I’m guessing it’s best to do that in warm weather unless you’re a polar bear! Lol 😂
Anyway, I’m bookmarking this page so I can come back to it easily.
