How to Pack For a 2 Week Trip in a Backpack + Free Printable Packing List

Hey everyone! I am so excited to announce that I am finally done with my Freshman year of High School! Oh my goodness it is about time! I am so ready for summer vacation. This summer is so busy, and I’m going to hit the ground running when my family and I take a road trip cross country from Kansas to the north east, stopping in Virginia, Washington D.C., Connecticut, Niagara Falls, and Rhode Island (to name a few). Then, we drive BACK to Kansas, say goodbye to all my friends, pack up everything I own and move to Texas. Then a week after I move to Texas I’m flying to Puerto Rico. And that’s just the first half of the summer!

Long story short, if you’re like me you are probably doing at least a little bit of traveling this summer and you’re struggling to figure out packing. Yes, the glorious struggle of figuring out how to pack the least amount of clothes and still look cute in your photos. (For those of you who are boys, the struggle is real.)

Here’s a complete list of what I packed:

Look at all that extra space! I’m in LOVE with this backpack, made by Speedo. If you want one, you can buy your own HERE. I strongly recommend in because it has a sturdy back and bottom, which keeps fragile items safe, it is waterproof inside (Perfect for beach days) and has SO MANY POCKETS, and a little bag that you can clip into the backpack perfect for carrying that one item that happens to be wet right before your trip. (You know what I’m talking about)

And that’s it guys! That’s how I packed all the clothes for a two week vacation, in a backpack! Do you want a packing list so you can keep your bags to the minimum?Packing List

  2. I am leaving on a big trip across the USA this summer, as well! We are going to visit national parks and landmarks for THREE weeks. 🙂 We are leaving in exactly 7 days, so I really need to start packing my bags. Thanks for this post to help me get started!
